What is new, and which version is it?
ROWAN announced Nova Reverie on September 10, 2026, with Brushed Stainless Steel first and a Mirror Finish version planned later. The announcement names Amazon and the brand’s own website as sales channels. It does not establish availability for every seller or destination. If you found a listing through a launch story, save its exact finish and model identification before comparing it with another offer.
Integrated preparation still leaves decisions to the user
The announcement lists a conical burr grinder with 30 settings and a grind-to-tamp workflow. The product page describes grinding into a portafilter and pulling to tamp. That is a reason to inspect the sequence, not assume the machine handles every step automatically. Ask for a demonstration showing where you move the portafilter, when you select the dose and what you empty after the drink. Count those actions against your own morning routine.
How to read the speed claim
ROWAN advertises roughly 20 seconds of preheating and espresso within a minute. We have not timed either claim. For a useful comparison, define your own start and finish: a filled machine to espresso in the cup is different from an empty tank to a finished milk drink and clean counter. If speed is the reason to upgrade, request a continuous demonstration of that complete sequence rather than adding together isolated headline times.
Measure the whole working space
The official page lists a 36.5 × 35.0 × 47.3 cm body and 14.2 kg weight. Mark its footprint on the counter, then leave room to operate the controls and remove the tank and hopper lid. A machine fitting beneath a cupboard when closed does not show that refilling will be comfortable. Include the cup, pitcher and where a damp portafilter will go. These are planning checks, not a fit test we have performed.
A 58 mm label is not an accessory compatibility guarantee
ROWAN lists a 58 mm portafilter and three temperature settings. Before reusing accessories, ask about the particular basket, portafilter lugs and clearance instead of relying on diameter alone. The listing also contains inconsistent single-shot volume labeling: one table says 1.2 fl oz while another pairs 35 ml with 0.2 fl oz. Treat that as a detail requiring clarification, not a verified recipe or a reason to infer actual dispensing behavior.
Questions to answer before ordering
Confirm the voltage and plug, exact finish, delivery estimate, service location and return conditions for the offer you will buy. Ask how grinder cleaning and brew-system cleaning differ, and whether replacement wear parts are available. Choose a machine because it solves a named workflow problem, not because a new model must be an improvement. We have not measured temperature stability, grinding performance, milk texture or reliability, so this guide makes no taste ranking against established alternatives.
