A balanced pour-over
Three manageable pours with cumulative scale targets. The final drawdown is an estimate; record your actual finish time.
Your brew, your dose.
Water scales with coffee. Step times stay editable: larger batches do not automatically take proportionally longer.

Enter water per step at the base dose of 20 g. Your selected dose scales these amounts automatically. Set a step to zero for waiting or pressing.
Water input is not finished drink yield. This recipe is limited to 600 g of water; check your brewer’s usable capacity.

Bloom
Add 60 g Scale target: 60 gRinse your filter and discard rinse water. Add grounds, tare the scale, then pour evenly to the cumulative target.
- 02
First pour
Add 140 g Scale target: 200 gPour gently in small circles to the new cumulative target. Avoid pouring directly onto the paper.
- 03
Second pour
Add 120 g Scale target: 320 gContinue to the final cumulative target without overflowing your dripper.

Draw down
Let the water drain. This is an estimated window, not a required finish time; remove the dripper when flow is mostly complete.
Make the experiment useful.
- Use a dripper and carafe large enough for the selected batch. Larger doses do not necessarily need proportionally longer steps.
- If drainage is persistently slow, try a slightly coarser grind next time. Keep your ratio unchanged for a useful comparison.
