Coffee recipe scaler

Scale a known recipe to a different number of servings while keeping ingredient proportions. For coffee recipes: weigh the dose and water, and keep a note of your grind setting. A change in batch size can change extraction even when the ratio stays the same.

03 / How it works

How it works

Scale factor = target servings ÷ original servings. Multiply every original ingredient amount by that factor. A 2-serving recipe scaled to 5 servings uses 2.5 times each ingredient.

Before you brew

Enter ingredient amounts for the entire original batch. Grams and millilitres remain separate. Brewing time, extraction and equipment capacity do not scale linearly; check those independently. For coffee recipes: weigh the dose and water, and keep a note of your grind setting. A change in batch size can change extraction even when the ratio stays the same.
